Contemporary Scholarship and Jesus Christ
This is the transcript and PowerPoint presentation of a session I gave at the Associated Christian Schools Annual Conference in July 2010. The files are in pdf format for ease of use. The session was only an hour in length, so my goal was to present a thumbnail sketch of current scholarship surrounding the life, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, as well as a critique of some of the more popular theories that attempt to explain away these events.
As it is so brief in many areas, it’s not suitable for use an an apologetic itself, but it should give you a great foundation to begin your own, more thorough investigation.
Enjoy!
Please feel free to download and use or edit this presentation as needed. Remember, this was designed as a brief thumbnail sketch of the issues presented, not a thorough apologetic and should not be used as one.
Regarding the PPTX file, the copyright symbols in the notes section of the slides are my indications to myself to click “next slide.”
Thank you and God bless!
